Best Of Bee Gees

This limited edition print by Ed Caraeff features his portrait of Australian Pop group The Bee Gees (clockwise from top Maurice Gibb, Maurice Gibb and Robin Gibb).

They posed for this portrait on October 22, 1972 in Los Angeles, California. Caraeff’s work with the Bee Gees forms a notable part of his archive. He was called upon by music producer Robert Stigwood to shoot the cover for the Bee Gees’ album Spirits Having Flown in 1979.

Caraeff photographed the group on many occasions including a shot in 1979 in which they pose in front of the painted backdrop most famously see on the album cover for Nils Lofgren’s eponymous album, also part of the Hypergallery x Iconic images collection.
