Happy Sad
Happy Sad
Description
Happy Sad
This limited edition Ed Caraeff photograph of Tim Buckley was taken during the cover session for his third studio album‚ Happy Sad, on December 20, 1968. Buckley’s work spanned multiple genres from folk to funk, soul, and more.
Happy Sad marked the beginning of Buckley’s experimental period, incorporating elements of jazz that he had never used before. The album has a more relaxed tone than his earlier work, a feeling that is conveyed beautifully by Caraeff’s cover portrait and this outtake.
