Honky Chateau

This limited edition Ed Caraeff photograph became the album cover for Honky Château by Elton John, released in May 1972.

The album was named after the 18th-century French château, Château d’Hérouville, where it was recorded.

Honky Château received widespread critical acclaim upon its release and has continued to be highly regarded over the years. This album marked a significant point in Elton John’s career, as it was his first to reach number one on the US Billboard 2001 with Rocket Man, one of the most iconic tracks of all time, on the track list.
