Hotcakes

This limited edition Ed Caraeff photograph captures Carly Simon in the kitchen of the New York townhouse she shared with James Taylor in the months before the birth of their daughter, Sally. The photograph was taken during the 1973 cover session for the album Hotcakes, to be released by Elektra Records, on January 11, 1974.

Carly Simon sits in her white kitchen, wearing a bohemian white linen dress, and visibly pregnant with her first child, Sally. The image captures a moment of joy and anticipation, reflecting the themes of family and domestic happiness that run through the album.
