Be Here Now | At Night

This archival inkjet print celebrates the 21st Anniversary of Oasis’ third album, Be Here Now. It joins a trilogy of album cover art prints in the collection of titles produced and published by Oasis photographer Michael Spencer Jones: Be Here Now, Definitely Maybe and (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? prints.

Published by the artist in association with Hypergallery, 21 years to the day that the photoshoot took place at Stocks House in Hertfordshire.

“The cover artwork to Be Here Now had originally been conceived as a night time shot, but the night photograph I took couldn’t be used; the main lighting generator had blown up during the shoot resulting in the film being completely underexposed. This meant that we had to go with one of the back up shots I’d done earlier in the day – so the famous daytime shot that we are all familiar with really ended up on the cover by mistake.” MSJ

The release date in each region was commemorated on the calendar pictured on the sleeve, to encourage fans to buy a copy on that day, and mark the release as a kind of historical event. Printed on Hahnemühle paper, every front cover print comes with its own Hahnemühle Certificate of Authenticity and is embossed with artist’s mark.

The night shot is also available in an ultra limited roman numeral black edition of only 21 prints, signed on black border in white chinagraph pencil.
