David Bowie Café Royal

These hand pulled silkscreen David Bowie portraits were produced by artist Vincent McEvoy for Paris Fashion Week in 2016.

“This silk screen print of David Bowie has been reproduced from a candid photograph I took in 1979. Taken at a press call at The Café Royal in London moments before Bowie faced the Fleet Street pack to promote his film ‘Just a Gigolo’ with Marlene Dietrich. This is my contribution to the collective memory of this most talented artist of our time.”

Limited to only 100 signed and numbered pieces, these prints are painstakingly created using rich acrylic inks that create a flat, true colour and define the process. The dot pattern image is cropped to a circle and printed onto the centre of the paper, followed by a pop of bright colour.
