Description
Eye 2 Eye
This silkscreen limited edition print was a chance for Storm Thorgerson to see an artwork he cared about find a true home.
The Scorpions commissioned Storm Studios to create a cover for their album Eye 2 Eye. This classic Storm result is one of the designs they were offered. Unfortunately the band rejected it in favour something more “conservative” (Storm’s words). Here it is as a fine art print though so a great creative isn’t lost, it’s just turned up in another form!
A friendly Alan Parsons fan recently got in touch with Hypergallery to let us know that this image did in fact find the perfect new musical home as the cover for the reissue of the Alan Parsons album of the same name: Eye 2 Eye Live in Madrid is a CD and DVD recorded live in Madrid in 2004. It has been printed on a weighty Somerset paper and is signed in pencil by Storm.
